by kiki2u @ 2007-10-17 - 18:00:03

Because i used to think they have a kind of glue that attach them to each other |-|, LOL, really, tehn happily there i go separate them when they are having FUN 88| OOOOOOOH! YES! How should i know that if i always have been told and readed that they are Hermaphrodites:!: After know this now, i will never do it again
No way, as they need fun too and to have babies snails :) :

"Snails’ genitals are on their necks, right behind their eye-stalks. Not weird enough? Read on. ( 8| How the hell would i know this? I always thought all those thingies the snails have on their heads are: their Antennas :-/ )
Snails are hermaphrodites, meaning they have both male and female sexual organs, but they do not self-fertilize. ( 88| See? Are Hermaphrodites, that we/I know but what I at least didn't know is that they do not self-fertilize..so seems bcz of me, since i was a kid, some=LOTS snails didn't born, and i also damaged their fun :-/XX(>:XX )
Before two snails mate, they shoot "love darts" made of calcium at each other. People used to think that these sharp darts are nutritional gifts, like you give someone you love a box of chocolate." 8|:))

Divinely Designed Churches...nr.1

by kiki2u @ 2007-10-17 - 14:48:32

1.Las Lajas Cathedral:"The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Las Lajas, or the Las Lajas Cathedral in Colombia, was built in 1916 on a site where, according to local legend, the Virgin Mary appeared. The story goes like this: an Indian woman named María Mueses de Quiñones was carrying her deaf-mute daughter Rosa on her back near Las Lajas ("The Rocks"). Weary of the climb, the María sat down on a rock when Rosa spoke (for the first time) about an apparition in a cave.

Later on, a mysterious painting of the Virgin Mary carrying a baby was discovered on the wall of the cave. Supposedly, studies of the painting showed no proof of paint or pigments on the rock - instead, when a core sample was taken, it was found that the colors were impregnated in the rock itself to a depth of several feet.
Whether true or not, the legend spurred the building of a gothic church worthy of a fairy tale.

2.Sagrada Familia:"La Sagrada Familia, or Catalan for "The Holy Family", is a yet-to-be-finished Roman Catholic basilica in Barcelona, Spain.
la-sagrada-familia la-sagrada-night
The church’s design is rich with Christian symbolism, with façades featuring intricate details describing the birth, life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Perhaps the most awe inspiring is the eighteen towers representing the 12 Apostles, 4 Evangelists, the Virgin Mary, and a central tower - the tallest of them all - representing Christ.
The construction of the Sagrada Familia basilica started in 1882, directed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, who devoted his life to it. When people said that the construction had taken a very long time, Gaudí replied that he was building the church for God, and that his client wasn’t in a hurry. He then became known as "God’s Architect."
In 1926, Gaudí got run over by a street car. Because of his raggedy attire and empty pockets, no one wanted to take him to the hospital. Eventually, he was taken to a pauper’s hospital where no one recognized him until his friends found him and tried to move him to another hospital. Gaudí refused, saying that he belonged with the poor, and died a few days later.
Because Gaudí refused to work with blue prints, preferring to use his imagination and memory instead, construction of La Sagrada Familia was halted after his death. Part of the church was even burnt during the Spanish Civil War. Construction of La Sagrada Familia was restarted afterwards and continues until today.

3.St. Basil’s Cathedral:"As its name implies, St. Basil’s Cathedral on the Red Square in Moscow, Russia, is named after Saint Basil (who is also known as Basil Fool for Christ). The story goes that in the 1500s, an apprentice shoemaker/serf named Basil stole from the rich to give to the poor. He also went naked, weighed himself with chains, and rebuked Ivan the Terrible for not paying attention in church. Most of the time, admonishing anyone with name "the Terrible" wasn’t such a good idea, but apparently Ivan had a soft spot for the holy fool (as Basil was also known) and ordered a church to be built in his name after Basil died.
St. Basil’s Cathedral, a Russian Orthodox church, sports a series of colorful bulbous domes that taper to a point, aptly named onion domes, that are part of Moscow’s Kremlin skyline (although the church is actually not part of the Kremlin).

Oh, and Ivan the Terrible lived up to his name after he supposedly blinded the architect who built the church so he would not be able to design something as beautiful afterwards.

:D Hope you enjoyed, i'l continue with more on a next post, oh yes i've wonderful and amazing ones yet ;)

Hitler:Some Strange Facts About Him

by kiki2u @ 2007-10-17 - 14:10:03

There’s nothing funny about Hitler, but he is endlessly fascinating. Since Congress passed the Nazi War Crimes Disclosure Act in 1998, almost 3 million classified files have been opened to the public - including a 1942 secret profile of Adolf Hitler compiled by the OSS. Here are some excerpts:

PERSONAL APPEARANCE
• Hitler never allows anyone to see him while he is naked or bathing. He refuses to use cologne or scents of any sort on his body
• No matter how warm he feels, Hitler will never take off his coat in public
• In 1923, Nazi press secretary Dr. Sedgwick tried to convince Hitler to get rid of his trademark mustache or grow it normally. Hitler answered: "Do not worry about my mustache. If it is not the fashion now, it will be later because I wear it!"

SOCIAL BEHAVIOR
• While dining with the others, Hitler will allow the conversation to linger on general topics, but after a couple of hours he will inevitably begin one of his many monologues. These speeches are flawless from start to finish because he rehearses them any time he gets a moment.
• His favorite topics include: "When I was a soldier," "When I was in Vienna," "When I was in prison," and "When I was the leader in the early days of the party."
• If Hitler begins speaking about Wagner and the opera, no one dares interrupt him. He will often sermonize on this topic until his audience falls asleep.

PERSONAL HABITS
• Hitler has no interest in sports or games of any kind and never exercised, except for an occasional walk.
• He paces frequently inside rooms, always to the same tune that he whistles to himself and always diagonally across the room, from corner to corner
• Hitler’s handwriting is impeccable. When famous psychologist Carl Jung saw Hitler’s handwriting in 1937, he remarked: "Behind this handwriting I recognize the typical characteristics of a man with essentially feminine instinct."

ENTERTAINMENT
• Hitler loves the circus. He takes real pleasure in the idea that underpaid performers are risking their lives to please him.
• He went to the circus on several occasions in 1933 and sent extremely expensive chocolates and flowers to the female performers. Hitler even remembered their names and would worry about them and their families in the event of an accident.
• He isn’t interested in wild animal acts, unless there is a woman in danger
• Nearly every night Hitler will see a movie in his private theatre, mainly foreign films that are banned to the German public. He loves comedies and will often laugh merrily at Jewish comedians. Hitler even liked a few Jewish singers, but after hearing them he would remark that it was too bad he or she wasn’t Aryan.
• Hitler staff secretly made films for him of torture and execution of political prisoners, which he very much enjoyed viewing. His executive assistants also secured pornographic pictures and movies for him.
• He loves newsreels - especially when he is in them.
• He adores gypsy music, Wagner’s operas, and especially American college football marches and alma maters.
• To excite the masses, he also uses American College football-style music during his speeches. His rallying cry - "Sieg Heil!" - was even modeled after the cheering techniques used by American football cheerleaders.

Lonely Swinging Benchs

by kiki2u @ 2007-10-17 - 11:46:37

Yes, like this piccie! I use to see nowadays children parks with no kids or with someone taking care of them, when i remember so well that during my childhood the parks with these swinging benchs were full of children and none parents or other person around with an eye on us, i mean taking care of us!
I used to go sometimes alone there as i always did easily friends, fighting :> :>> :)) (..well, i was a kind of tom-boy as you say in english w/so many male cousins around me and their friends! And that teach me a lot :)) ) for the swinging benchs i loved so much, and i liked to be the best, the speedy one on it going higher then the others till sometimes that stuff bend and i fall on floor :-/ for everybody's laugh..HA! me too :)) i didn't mind at all bcz that meant i was the one who swing higher than the others ;) LOL
Others times i used to go w/my cousins or friends but never w/someone taking care of us, and yes we had LOTS of FUN :D ...
...Now let me sad :`( and mad >:-( see them empty or w/kids only going there if have someone caring of them.
But i understand it as unfortunatly on the nowadays societies it's really necessary:!: Shouldn't, bcz kids should be let live in PEACE their childhood, even their teens, but bcz those pedophiles around or drug addicts, or whatever mad/weirdo guy, we really must have an eye on our owns 8| so better never loose your child from your sight :
