. CLITIE:
The story of Clitie is unique in the Classic Greek Mythology, therefore, instead of in saying, them, of a god gotten passionate for a reluctant maiden, it deals with the opposite - an enamored maiden of a coy god. Clitie loved Sun-God, but this one not corresponded to this affect. The poor person was meagering with the disgust, always sit down on the floor, on streets, where ever she could watch him, turning invariable the face to him, and with her eyes following him, as Sun journey's was occuring on the SKY, during the day.
With her continually staring eyes, Clitie had been transformed at last in a flower: "Girassol" = Sunflower, wich is constantly turned to him.
.PS: As i love mythology's stories, i'll post, next days or whenever i want, some short ones, and i hope had translate it well from portuguese to english, at least well enough so it can be undertsood.
