Smoking Ban?! Awesome. Enough, i really have to write about it!

We live in E.U. not in Sparta, so why such an austere ban? Hey, we don't live in Totalitarianism or Absolutism but in Democracy!
Cigarettes can kills but what about the air you breath? Isn't it much more polluant? Ok, its not nice to smell what others people smoke or being a passive smoker but i don't think it needs a ban, because its up to you if you smoke or not! That is democracy!
There are far more worst dangers than smoking like drugs abuse, child abuse, abortion, hospital waiting lists, serious crimes and so on... and ban smokers is more important?
Well we really should be more understanding about this, it would be a more balanced society. Ah! And it seems to me that it'd affect the Economy too: not only bars or pubs, but what about Tourism? Tourism brings a lot of money to U.K.
Spooky all this! So much about to concern and....: smoking ban! bye:wave:

no I do think it should be banned in bars that serve food and also places where children are... if you want to smoke go outside.... also smoking on the beach is horrible.

The economy will not suffer at all since a massive %'d of public money is spent on smoking related disease.

Anyway I am an ex smoker so a bit less willing to comprimise...

Ok my friend on bars that serve food and don't have non-smoking area, and 'cause of children etc. agree. i'm ex-smoker too, but sometimes feels good just one cigarette isn't it?lolol... so many people talking about this and than i watch to the car by my side with both parents smoking with children in it...!!if i'm with friends who smokes i go with them to smoking areas, if i'm alone i prefer the non smoking 'cause i don't like to eat and smoke around me. All we need is...hmmm...a little understanding from both sides..lol...as Beatles use to sing (is from Beatles?):all we need is love tram tram tan tan...txam txam!! ok, i also like your point of view my friend, byebye

Good afternoon oh dreamy one !
Being Canadian , we have seen this through already , we can't lite up in ANY public establishment! They are contemplating regulating us smoking in our cars??????? how gustopo is that ????
I still smoke but aspire to one day quit but until then big brother can BITE ME! I don't drink ( on the wagon) but I find it bewildering to drive by a pub/bar & see patrons huddle outside smoking.......I could never do that as the two go hand in hand...I'd just as soon go to house parties where smoking is still ( so far ) permitted , but don't hold your breath on that one LOL.

That's what i want to mean: if i want to smoke its up to me, i try to respect others as much they respect me! nowadays i smoke from times to times a cigarette. i just had to write about it 'cause at the time someone had called me drunked and than hunted me in my list of friends till find me! then insulted me and send emails to me and others 'cause of that (he must be the drunked one!not us!); one Walrus, and 'cause of that i had to write about this. well we should live and let to live, life is just one!ok Blaine, byebye,kiki

i think smoking is absolutely revolting and i think anyone who starts in this day and age when they no the dangers is just plain stupid!

I think that a smoking ban in bars is a great idea. My only concern is that the stink of bars in smoke will be replaced by the stink of people! We just don't know what the smoke smell is hiding...
